• Yes – the internal Product Finder contains much more data (e.g., where the product was produced and for which market segment it was developed). In addition, the item drawings can be downloaded from this tool if available.
• By contrast, only selected products can be viewed on the external Product Finder, and these products are displayed with professional photographs along with information of interest to external parties.

No – unfortunately, this is not possible, as our internal Product Finder displays sensitive information not intended for viewing by external parties. You can only access the internal Product Finder by logging in with your company login credentials or single sign-on. As far as external parties are concerned, you are welcome to direct prospective customers to the external Product Finder (insert link here).

The internal Product Finder was created for our sales staff in particular with the aim of finding products that were implemented already. This provides information about existing tools. The Product Finder therefore is intended to help us make even better use of our international production network.
But naturally, the internal Product Finder can and should also be used by all our employees and will make your work easier in many different areas.

Yes, every employee connected to our Active Directory can access the internal Product Finder.

o There is a “Download images” button below the relevant item data. If you click on this button, you can download all the images of this product that have been uploaded, which you will receive in a zipped file.

Going forward, our aim will be to include every different product. However, this is an ongoing process, so the internal Product Finder is constantly being expanded.

There is a key user at each location, who is responsible for ensuring that at least one item is available for each article number on Product Finder.

The internal Product Finder aims to display one product for each article number. If there are multiple products with the same article number, you may unfortunately be unable to find a certain, specific item.

If you cannot see an important product from a given location, please contact the key user at that site. They will then ensure that this product is added to the internal Product Finder.

The data pertaining to products on Product Finder all comes directly from the SAP system. The key user at the relevant location will then add a product photo to accompany the data for each product.

The product data comes directly from SAP, so it is important to provide feedback to the key user or the member of staff responsible for SAP at the location if there is incorrect or missing information. If important products are missing or the tool displays products that no longer exist, you must notify the key user of this so that they can resolve the situation.

o The characteristics come directly from our SAP system. If a field has not been maintained or filled out in SAP, this field will not be displayed on Product Finder. Our aim here is to ensure that the product page on Product Finder remains reader friendly.

The best course of action is to please contact the key user at the location that produces this product and notify them of the error. The incorrect data will then need to be corrected in SAP – a process that only the key user can initiate.

o The CAD drawings are automatically imported into the internal Product Finder from the data source by Herwig Stadler and his team. If a CAD drawing is missing, please get in touch with the location that manufactured the relevant product so that the most up-to-date item drawing is sent to [email protected]
